It happens sometimes that you change the wifi password of your home’s or office’s router and since you do not have to put it every now and then in your devices you forget the password.
To be frank it happens to me also, several times when somebody asks for my wifi password at my home or at my office.
Now there’s always an option to login to your router’s portal and change the password to a new one, but in that case you will have to re-enter the password in every other device at your home or office using that particular router.
I don’t think this other option is good for you unless you are using only 1 or 2 devices (mobile/tablet/laptop) at your place.
The best option is to find out the current password of your router.
And this trick I used to do, at my school’s computer lab and even at my college’s computers where the lab incharge doesn’t provide you the password. 😉
How to Find the WiFi Password in Laptop without resetting router
You just have to follow these set of steps to find out the password of the router.
Start the windows laptop or computer around you, that was using the same internet connection from that particular router.
Now in the lower right corner right click on the wifi icon, and click on the “Open Network and Sharing Center” as shown in the screen shot below
Now you will see the screen as visible in the screenshot below. Click on the “Wireless Network Connection”
next screen you will see is :
Now click on the “Wireless Properties” tab and on the next screen click on “Security tab”
Now this is the place (encircled in red) where you can find your router’s current password.
Do not forget to share this trick with your friends!
